To achieve our vision of Nurses Transforming Health for Families Worldwide, IFNA members pursue our mission of

    • Serving as a unifying force and voice for family nursing globally,
    • Sharing knowledge, practices, and skills to enhance and nurture family nursing practice; and,
    • Providing family nursing leadership through education, research, scholarship, socialization, and collegial exchange on all aspects of family nursing.
Worldwide our members are making significant strides in achieving the mission, but membership dues cover only one third of expenses. We rely heavily on donations to achieve our vision of transforming health for families worldwide.

International Family Nursing Association (IFNA): These donations contribute to achieving our mission by covering the operating costs associated with supporting the work of IFNA committees, conferences, and other costs associated with member activities. They supplement income from membership dues and are vital to IFNA’s financial health. Donors can make a contribution to IFNA at any time and also have the option of making a donation in memory or recognition of someone.

International Family Nursing Foundation (IFNF): The IFN Foundation is a charitable entity separate from IFNA. The IFNF is dedicated to improving family health and family nursing through garnering charitable donations from individuals, corporations, and non-profit entities. The IFNF supports individual awards to members (e.g. conference travel, student registrations, IFNA memberships) or to IFNA (e.g. conference sponsorship). The IFNF holds 501 (c) (3) status as a tax-exempt organization in the United States. Thus, donations from US members to the IFNF can be tax-deductible. Click here to donate to the IFN Foundation.
