To achieve our vision of Nurses Transforming Health for Families Worldwide, IFNA members pursue our mission of
Two Options for Giving
Donors have the option of directing their gift to the Association or to the International Family Nursing Foundation. Differences between the two are described below.
International Family Nursing Association (IFNA): These donations contribute to achieving our mission by covering the operating costs associated with supporting the work of IFNA committees, conferences, and other costs associated with member activities. They supplement income from membership dues and are vital to IFNA’s financial health. Donors can make a contribution to IFNA at any time and also have the option of making a donation in memory or recognition of someone. In addition, The Resource Advancement Committee (RAC) as the fund raising arm of the Association solicits funds for ongoing support of IFNA from multiple sources, with most funds generated in conjunction with sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities linked to our biennial conferences.International Family Nursing Foundation (IFNF): The Foundation is a charitable entity separate from IFNA. The IFNF is dedicated to improving family health and family nursing through garnering charitable donations from individuals, corporations, and non-profit entities. The IFNF supports individual awards to members (e.g. conference travel, student registrations, IFNA memberships) or to IFNA (e.g. conference sponsorship). The IFNF holds 501 (c) (3) status as a tax-exempt organization in the United States. Thus, donations from US members to the IFNF can be tax-deductible.
