Support the Future of Family Nursing

by Honoring Families and Family Nurses

Honor Families and Family Nurses is an initiative of International Family Nursing Foundation to raise funds for supporting student participation in International Family Nursing Conferences and for funding pilot projects by IFNA members in family nursing research, education and practice. With your support of this program, we will be able to provide even greater support for students and IFNA members in the years ahead.

Through the Honor Families and Family Nurses (HFFN) program, IFNA members and others have an opportunity to support IFNF through honoring and acknowledging those among us (IFNA members and non-members) who deserve to be recognized. Think of nurses and others (colleagues, mentors, practitioners, students,) and families who have inspired you through their achievements or support and whose efforts and lives deserve to be acknowledged.

Accomplishments to be honored include, for example:

• Leaders in family nursing, including colleagues who have retired or passed away
• Innovative trend setters in family nursing
• Mentorship of students or early career family scholars
• Completion of a major project or study
• Publication of an outstanding manuscript

Families can be honored:

• Families who have inspired you
• Families who have suffered significant pain or loss
• Families you have cared for in your practice

Each submission must be accompanied by a $100 donation to IFNF. Join with colleagues to honor a family nursing mentor or a family!

Those honored before June 18th will be recognized at the 15th International Family Nursing Conference and on IFNA’s website. In addition, you will be sent a lovely electronic note that you can send to those you nominate informing them that they have been honored in the HFFN program.  If you make your acknowledgement after June 18th, those honored will be recognized on the IFNA Website.
